440 intake/carb ?

I'm building an engine for a 1966 Sport Fury. I have the org 440ci engine. my question as the motor was not installed in the car when i got it. will the following intake/carb fit without any hood modifications. it is the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and the Holly Street Avenger 770 CFM or 870 CFM undicided as of yet. any ideas?

Its hard to tell, that intake looks like it might be tall, hard to tell from the picture of it by itself.

There are so many factors in this process, and things you can do to make it all fit. The mounts play a part in this, if a spacer is required to have the carb fit on the intake, or a spacer for the air cleaner to fit on the carb.

If I were you I would set the engine in like it would be installed and see how much room you got. The instructions for the past job I just did said to set up different height pillars of clay, so that when you shut the hood you can measure the clearance from the tallest pillar undisturbed, and have the amount you can work with.
