Camshaft Identification
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/DSC_0159.jpg
I came across this camshaft during a cleanup session in one of our garages up at school. It was set to be thrown away, so I took it home with plans to try to make a camshaft lamp from it. I finally got time to clean it up and decided it would be cool to know what it came from. Using Summits site, I found it resembled that of a Mopar B/RB engine. https://static.summitracing.com/glob...um-g6510_w.jpg https://static.summitracing.com/glob...21-227-4_w.jpg I was hoping to be a little more specific than that, so I came here. I wanted to know if the year could be narrowed down, as well as the engine size. Down towards the distributor gear are 3 sets of numbers. 2402 722 E28? maybe E26 Up at the other end the 722 is repeated. Thanks in Advance |
well you can narrow it down the search to V8 motors with dizzys in the front [BB mopars, AMC V8s, don't know and don't care about F$%ds or C@#*ys (lol)].
I'm sure that someone on here could help you out. If not, I'd give summit racing's tech line a call and see if they can be of any help. |
for the most part all parts numbers are stamped on the ass end of the cam post a pick of that so we can see the numbers and who knows
|
There is absolutely no writing on the back end
|
is there any colors on the cam?
like, purple? |
Nope...just dark grey/black on everything but the lobes.
