Distributor for BB and sb

Will a BB distributor fit on a SB? Wanting to know before I get rid of it. Thank you!!

For "starters" SB and BB turn opposite directions, meaning the mechanical and vacuum advance work the opposite way

Further, "BB" does not say much? Low deck, 383/400? etc? or RB? 413/426/440 etc? The low deck is shorter shaft than is the tall deck. The RB distributors will work in a 426 hemi
