Fram Oil Filter
 
Anyone know the part number for this Fram filter that 440 source is selling as a higher capacity model: http://www.440source.com/oilpumps.htm

i do not know the number but im pretty sure its the fram racing filter you should be able to go to your parts store and tell them you want the racing filter by fram and they should be able to come up with the #s

I got the Melling high volume one, not sure on the specs.

I will check out the race one, I want the number so I can get the Wix equivalent, as I have heard countless times about how bad Fram is or how much better Wix is.

I won't run frams any more had a Oil pressure issue one time and ended up being the filter.

I have heard this too, but never had problems with fram. But, top be safe, I just run purilator now.

The reason fram boost oil pressure is because it filters down to a smaller micron. That means it is filtering more dirt out of your oil which is better. Them small micron particles of dirt is what does most of the damage to your bearings. As long as your oil pressure isn't running up above 90 you should be fine.

I found it in Wix if anyone is interested the standard filter is a 51068 and the larger one is a 51515.
