Should be at least one in the front of the base plate (manifold vac) some have a huge one in the back for PCV and should be a ported vac port above the base, side of the meetering block is where they usually put it - post a couple of pic's close up and we can spot them, Jake

Like Jake said, there should be one going to the PCV and / or the break booster. Depending on the manifold, there might also be one or two coming out of there too, but they may or may not be hard to reach. (Just use the other end of the hose.)

While (maybe) not as precise, you can also use the tach to look for changes in rpm as you play with the A/F mixture. If your are already close, small changes won't show any change.

The two "T" 'ed together is ok, myself I like to keep them seperate - your intake should have a capped off hole in one of the runners, I like to run the booster from here and the capped off small port is ok and normal, the old old motors only hade 2 vacuum lines on them, 1 to the advance & one for the windsheild wipers - try that system going up hill in a rain storm lol the good ol'days - the extra vac. ports are just to make the carb fit many diffrent engines with diffrent vac. needs
