Identifying 440 Six-Pack Torqueflite

I have an A-727 gearbox that I just pulled from my Jensen SP. It was behind a 440 Six-Pack engine. Both engine and gearbox are original.

I have heard that the 440 Six-Pack engines got the Hemi 727 trannys. What I'd like to know is how to ID the tranny as a Hemi 'box or not without opening it up.

In case anybody's wondering, I pulled the 727 to put in an A-833.

I think you can tell by how many teeth are on it. Seems like I have read that the Hemi's are supposed to have 18 and the non hemi's are supposed to have 23. Not sure though may want to double check me on that. It could be the other way around also.

You could always get the #'s off it and we will go from there.:D

I believe that is for the input shafts of the A-833 four-speed manual trannys.
