Just a quick Tranny question...

i got a 4 speed in my 73 Duster. i only put about 50 miles on it this summer, turns out i need new rings, it sat for 10 years come to find out, but besides the point. i dont really remember how it felt when i shifted it going down the road, but i was sitting in it today, going through the gears, and 1st and 3rd felt fine, but 2nd and 4th felt like it had about half the "throw" for it to get into gear, mind u the car is in the garage for the winter, got lots of snow here haha. but i thought i remember this as normal from the summer, but just wondering if anyone else had this issue with any of their 4 speeds. i know my way round engines, but transmissions are a whole other ballgame lol. thanks for any input!!!

not sure exactly what is in it, i know stupid haha but i will dig further. like i said i think i remember it having a short throw this summer for 2 n 4 but cant remember too clearly. it is quite a distance from neutral but not as much as 1 n 3 or reverse. reverse is a pain to get to lol
