paint combo

not sure if this is the right place to post in but o well. my dads road runner is a factory yellow car with no stripes (i think they're called rally stripes?). i found that 90% of the yellow road runners on google have the stripes. i was wondering is yellow with no stripes a rare color option for a 69 383 road runner or does google hate me lol thanks in advance

Back in the day lots of folks thought the decal packages were a bit too much for them. Some folks WANT sleepers. "Stripe Delete" was a common term used on the order sheets back then. These stripes came with the engine/performance package and were part of it unless specifically deleted. I'm sure others could tell you much more.
