sending unit reading?

Anyone know the ohm range for a stock sending unit out of a 78 D200 long bed? It has a 318 and 727 if that makes any difference.

yeah it doesn't read right. I'm making up my own instrument cluster and will be installing a new fuel gauge and needed to what the ohm range is for the sending unit but I was thinking about installing a universal sending unit in place of the stock one.

I just didn't want to drop the tankand make more work for myself.

That UNI unit might be the plan. That is what I am doing on a motor home project .. that has two tanks on it.
