Steering turns itself.....really!

My power steering in my 72 charger pulls to the right side. It is very dangerous in my opinion. The alignment is fine and the tires are good. If the car is parked and you rev the engine the wheel will turn on its own! Whats up? a rebuilt steering gearbox is expensive and in buying one of these you are buying someone else's problem. do I need a new one?

I'm no expert on steering boxes, but this problem IS IN the steering box (valve) I also agree that it's potentially dangererous, and needs to be fixed pronto

the "centering valve" is on the box under the return fitting. that plate has movement to center the steering.

READ UP ON IT BEFORE TRYING TO ADJUST IT!
