timing question for V8's
If the timing sequence for all V8's is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, are the odd #'s on the driver side and even ones on the passenger side? also, is the #1 cylinder at the front of the engine on the driver side?

The "timing sequence" you refer to is known as the "firing order". All V8s are different. Your small block V8s will be different from the big blocks and different between manufactors. The odd number cylinders are usually on the driver's side and the even number cylinders are usually on teh passenger side. Cylinder #1 is always the one closest to the front of the vehicle.

the #s should be stamped on the intake if its the original and some aftermarket ones and like 67 says what engine do you have or are you just wanting to no if they are all the same which no they are not
