Why???? they do make a clear thermostat housing so you can see the stat.... I have never heard of a filter or a clear hose unless it was for a milking machine:laugh::laugh:... You crack me up Moe...cash<you:broke:<me...Bill

You could look into Porous Ceramic Membrane, good to 1000 degrees C. It will be quite large, maybe 12 inch diameter would do.

Hose is a problem as I've only seen it up to 150, maybe 180 degrees F. All the hose we use on steamers is not clear.

You'll need a Booster pump as the stock one won't generate enough pressure to push through the additional piping and the filter. I would suggest a Commercial Dishwasher pump from a Hobart K series with metal housing, most of the Jackson, Champion and MDL's are using plastic housings now which probably won't hold up, stay away from Jet Tech they are junk.

I think it is doable and would fit nicely in the back seat or trunk if you want to maintain passenger space.

WHAT!!!!I don't get it???? He asked about a clear hose and you are telling him how to build the space shuttle....:laugh: All you need is a flux capacitor and a nemron pump to push the fluid through the miles of piping it will require to cool the coolant down enough to put a clear hose from a dish washer(specifically the one from the Hobart K series) on your truck..:laugh::laugh::laugh:
LMFAO...Looks like your on your own on this one Moe....Bill

Hey Bill, I sell milking machines but have never heard of a cow giving milk that hot!!! It would be self pasteurized and save a step at the dairy.... The hoses we use would not stand the pressures or the temps!!! Good idea,,, And that is thinking out of the box for sure!!!

Mack, That was my point exactly I don't think they make such a thing as a clear radiator hose... Do they??? But I do know they make clear milking machine hose. . Not that it would ever work.( I have seen some weird stuff used on the farms to get them by though)...Just trying to help the old guy out... Moe is just a funny dude and cracks me up... He is always thinking... A few weeks ago he wanted a in line transmission filter with magnet (which they make) now he wants a coolant filter...Why??? the problem with coolant is not dirt but electrolysis that breaks it down...And a clear hose... Why??? To see the coolant going to the radiator???? On a V6 Dakota??... Bill

poking fun at me is fine. on a radio control site that i go to we poke fun at one guy about not wearing pants. it gets very funny. i made up a saying about me being a red neck.
"I am the west side red neck. Iam old, cantankerous, bias, prejudice, and I dont suffer fools or idiots. Get over it"
got to go i need a nap.
