Edelbrock LA vs Mangum Heads

Need help with a cylinder head issue.

I have a 1976 LA 360 block. Bored to 4.030", stock stroke of 3.58".

I am rebuilding as well as modifying the engine. So far I have:
- Flat top hypereutectic pistons with 5cc valve reliefs
- stock cast crank
- aftermarket conn rods (factory specs but floating wrist pins)
- Crower cam: Dur @ .050” Lift: 232°/242° RR: Lift: .450”/.476” LSA: 112° RPM: 2200 to 5000 Redline: 5500
- Crower lifters (oiling provisions)
- Double roller timing set

My question is using out of the box Edelbrock Performer RPM heads will the magnum heads produce any performance gains over the LA heads on my short block setup? I understand the parts needed to use magnum heads on an LA block. I also know factory magnum heads outperformed factory LA heads but cannot get a complete answer on the Edelbrock heads. I am not doing any porting work at this point.

Thanks for any and all feedback

Yes I am going to be getting the aluminum Eddy heads. Edelbrock makes both 360 LA heads and 360 magnum heads in aluminum and both will bolt to my current 360 short block. I was wondering with the aluminum magnum heads added any performance to the short block in comparison to using the LA aluminum heads.

The answer is yes..... With a 0 deck and Flat Top Piston's...
Now with that said... In looking at what you have in your hand. My first thought is the cam is too small... But thats a nice very mild street cam... My point is later you have room for improvement...
If you have not bought heads yet... You might think about getting them threw MRL Performance and let Mike go over them out of the box for you, after you talk to him, I think you will see it's a few extra buck's well spent in the long run.
But yes you will have a nice up grade... If you call Mike Tell him I sent you.. He will fix you up rite.

Just My 2 Cent....
Keep us posted on the Build...

Also do not use a Hi volume oil pump unless you need it.. Not necessary and will suck the stock pan dry at hi RPM
