Longer header bolts

Longer header bolts

I've been told by a friend that on the big blocks it's advisable to use a longer header bolt being that they go into the water jackets, any truth to this?

If I can I use the OE studs.......

On my Plymouth I have to use one bolt one one tube, there 2" and a thight fit on one hole.
