Borla. All the way.

But almost any exhaust on a Neon is going to sound like a rice rocket.

Tiss alright though!

I drive a Dodge Neon as well! And once I get a little bit of money saved up (drove across the country), it's getting a full catback BORLA exhaust.

Thanks! Any idea what they are worth? I may just get rid of my cat since we don't have smog check up here I'm just looking for a bit more noise out of it.

Keep the cat. Theres a reason it's there. Without it, you're going to turn on the check engine light and the car will most likely run in open loop if the o2 sensor(s) are located in the cat.

There goes fuel mileage, performance most likely, ect.

X2 on keeping the cat. Feel free to remove any resonators though.

I've heard Borla will give you a deeper sound than most "coffee can" mufflers out there. Flowmaster has a 60 series muffler (maybe a system too) that is designed for 4 and 6 cylinder vehicles. Maybe some to look into.

We cut the filling out of the cat on my 98 ram and no problems it made it a lot louder after I replaced the stock muffler with a cherry bomb glass pack

Yes you can gut it, no, it won't do it's job correctly.

The cat is there, keep it. No reason to gut it or mess with it. Plus it's illegal.

Now, anywhere after the last o2 / cat, fair game. I'd say get a full cat back Borla.

It'll give it a good sound, probably better performance, and still have good emissions out the tail pipe.
