what ally heads for 360 magnum

Hey guys
I have had a read and it looks like there is only one major ally head for the 360 magnum is the edelbrock rpm performer. My engine block doesn't have the oil hole in it to use LA heads. I did read there might be a Mopar brand one but I cant find any info about them.
Does anyone know if the edelbrock head is a big improvement and worth the money or is there better heads out there?
Any help appreciated.
cheers

The Drag Pak 5.9 magnum head is deadly on the race cars. Pt# P5155285.

It may or may not be an edelbrock piece. Very much worth investigating!

Cheers

Old article: http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/...-light-headed/

Tough question, cost limitations and availibility point to Edelbrock. I bought a pair of the 60779's, I look at it like a camshaft choice and what is your desired performance level and end use of vehicle. I could put in a flat hyd cam and get to 400hp easy. Next level is solid or roller and rockers and rods to get to 500-600hp.

I look at the heads the same way and any of them you can go to that next level, buy bare and CNC port, valves, beehives, titanium retainers and any of the stuff to get there. It's back to funds available and end use of the vehicle.

It's not like the GM or Fords with vast selection. If you are going to the higher level I would recommend building your own heads and look into Chevy valves and beehives as they are far less money.

The indy heads come many ways for around a grand
or if you got a bit of time..you could port em yourself and have a shop stuff the valves in
a set of undercut valves are a help... if you go with the chevy valves there is more machine work needed
i personaly not sold on the smaller valve stem dia.
the L A heads are very sturdy platform ..unlike cheby heads
you got lots of choices.
