Checkball in valvebody 727 torqueflite year 1974

Hi can anyone help me the Checkball marked with a red dot are missing in my valvebody.
can i use it without it ? Or replace it with a spare ?

Yes you can run it without that check ball.... It is part of a Shift improver shifting mod.
