Repairing a War Hero

Hello all,
I am new to this forum so forgive me if my post doesn't adhere to the norms. I run the maintenance at an FBO which fuels aircraft and performs other activities at a regional airport. When I took this job I found that there was a lot of equipment that had not been taken care of, that also had Mopar powertrains. The equipment I am having trouble with is this 1942 Clarktor CT-80 Aircraft Tug, which had been in service in WW2 in the pacific theatre. Being a Marine airwing veteran myself I am fascinated with the tug's history, and that it still runs like a top (until now) The tug has a Flathead 6 engine (head# T116-129702). The transmission is an odd one, at least to me. (Diesel Mechanic by trade) an NP420 non synchronized 4 speed manual transmission with a fluid coupling. An operator tried cranking while the engine was running and decimated the starter gear and ring gear. What I am after here is 1.) Some information on the torque converter if anyone has seen this type of setup before. 2.) Sourcing on the ring gear or information such has tooth count 3.) Information on the transmission itself.
I appreciate any input this post may receive and will be actively interacting in it

Looks like the hardest part to do is get the Torque Converter out of the unit so yalls can get some measurements off the ring to find a replacement.
ATP makes replacement rings. >>>>>> https://atpautomotive.com/flywheel-ring-gear-za-507 That site also has measurments for some of them.

That is a cool old unit, and Looks like you guys are doing a great job trying to keep it going...

I use to work on an old Navy assigned Forklift Brand name TowMotor from about that area....

Good Luck with the repair... Keep us posted...
