Question Body / Suspension Roll question???

Hey guys , hoping I might be able to get some helpful info. My 76 dart sport tends to have a tremendous amount of body roll when turning, to the point of allowing the body to touch the tire on occasion. When its just me in the rig (im a BIG GUY), I dont seem to have an issue, when the wifes with me, or even my 12 year old daughter, when I turn, I get tire rub, and the body roll is felt, and seen easily. Hoping to figure out a way to stiffen things up to prevent this. Im running 14 inch rims with 225/60/14 tires on front 245/60/14 rears. I also will note that my front tires sit further out than the rears, in a very obvious way. Rears tires are well inside the wheel wells, but the fronts appear to almost reach outside the fenders... ( not quite, but close). I have concerns about the offset of the rims, but in the same note, the roll is still an issue even if I need to get different rims. thanks for any ideas .

I was figuring on new Springs in the near future. I think ill buy a PST front end kit, new shocks, new leafs, and see how that does, seems to be what folks think is in order, thanks for the tip 8) alot of folks here an a couple other forums said exactly the same thing.

76 -

I can't speak for generalities, but in my specific case, my 74 Charger now has almost no body roll.

I did a thread a while back about a suspension upgrade. I wound up doing a full front and rear makeover using components from Firmfeel.com. They are a Mopar shop and know their stuff. Once we started the work, we found that the 40+ year old suspension parts were in worse shape than we thought.

The down side is that some of the parts aren't plug and play and some fabrication will be necessary and it ain't cheap. The results were nothing short or night and day.

Exactly what you need, we can't tell from here. But leaf springs, torsion bars, sway bars AND BUSHINGS all around would be a start.
