Interior Lights HELP Please

Hi everyone, I need some help if possible. First off I am 28 and recently got my moms old car out of storage which she bought when she was 18 she decided to give it to me instead of having it rot away in a barn so im happy to say I own a 1967 belvedere, bench seat, 4 speed, convertible!! I got it running and trying to fix the interior lights, everything is out except oil pressure light that comes on with key ON. I swapped that bulb out with turn signal and then the turn signal worked, so I know its just a bulb for them! I also swapped it with my speed bulb, volt bulb, etc and nothing comes on...was thinking someone could send me in the right direction, im thinking maybe the dimmer switch is bad or something like that... please help thanks

First check the plug for the instrument cluster Re solder the pins directly to the circuit board and make sure there is a good ground. Also a possibility that the voltage reg for the cluster is bad ? Plugs into the circuit board... After that check the light switch connections -- the wiper for the interior dimmer could be broken? can you feel any resistance when turning the light switch ?

You need a test light, then you can figure out where the circuit is broken. A multi meter would work too, but more money. Get a test light that lights up when one lead is on ground and the other on power, not the battery powered type.

I got the instrument cluster removed kinda a pain in the *** but I looks like the dimmer/headlight is corroded so I ordered one. Any hints on installing this piece? Looks like I need to remove the circle pull/turn handle, but how?? Then looks like flat head screwdriver to remove the dimmer control. Thanks for your help

Reach up around the bottom of the head light switch. You should feel a button.. Push it and the **** and stem will pull out. Then you can remove the switch..

Don't forget Re solder the pins weather you think it needs it or not. Will avoid problems later

Hopefully you guys can help me again... I removed interment cluster to install new dimmer switch. Now my temp gauge doesn't seem to be working. I checked a few times pretty sure everything is connected any thoughts or anyone know how this gauge is wired to the dash? Thanks again
