Mopar gods please help with electornic distributor......
Dear mopar experts,
I am working on a 1970 plymouth barracuda with a 318 2 Bbl. it had a points style ignition. I bought a electronic distributor from evil bay and it had no instructions. It is on evil bay under dcm performance and I was wondering if anyone knew how to wire it?
It has 2 wires a red and a black coming out of the distributor and claims it does not require anything except a upgraded coil.
Any help is appreciated, I do have a MSD blaster coil to use.
Thanks in advance.

Follow up
I just have a electronic ignition distributor, and a MSD coil.
No kit , no instructions?
Do I still need to buy a kit, and would it have everything but the distributor?
Dazed and confused.

you need a orange or blue box. i think the stock 1970 coil will work , but ask the real experts. the box and a wiring harness from chrysler is all you need. here is an easy test for the distributor by its self. get an analog VOM. set it to the lowest ACV setting. put the VOM wires in the distributor wires. then spin the dist shaft. if the VOM needle moves just a little the dist is good.

Sounds like it is one of the ready to run units your talking about?.....
If that is the case. You just replace the ignition coil and then hook the dist. wires,(Red to + and the Black to -) and your set to run after installing the unit.
If it is the ProComp one Or the ready to run one....Yes its that easy !!!!!!
