Hey guys/gals not sure what the deal is with my hood other than maybe worn out hinges, to close the hood I have to walk it down then push the hood down at the back any help would be appreciated

You should be able to adjust the hinges to set the rear of the hood down. You want to raise the front and lower the rear of the hing on the fender, this will lower the rear of the hood.

Joe, All I can say is. I worked on my 1970 Challenger, till I was so pissed off, I took off those hinges for like the 20th time and hucked them in the trash, went to Pasadena Chrysler Plymouth and bought new hinges and installed them and never looked back... I tried to rebuild them and failed..
Just my 2 cents...
P.S. Sorry if I at any point, came off unfriendly.... Never my intention.. Cheers

Try it one hinge at a time, break the bolts loose and lift your hood up forcing the hinge to rotate. You can also put a body shim under the front hinge bolt on the hood to drop the hood.

If you run out of adjustment and still can't get the back of the hood to level down, the usual suspect is the springs. Sometimes, it easier/cheaper to get new/used hinges than just spring and yes, eBay can be your friend. (I got a complete like new pair a few years back there for $100.)

How your hood sets on the striker, if it pulls one way or the other will effect how it sets on the hinges.

Then losen up the hinges force up the front of the hood.
