Paint Job questions
Good evening Mopar gearheads
How ya,ll doin? On my 72 Charger: My question is, my new base coat paint job (without clearcoat on it yet) has turned out looking like an "orange peel" surface. Is this normal? Did I paint too fast? I put 3 lite coats on. I tried different spray gun adjustments. The paint was properly mixed. Should I just put clearcoat on? Should I just sand and paint again except this time put on a heavy coat. Of course I am a beginner at this so any comments or opinions are welcome. Did a lot of research before hand, but did not expect this outcome. Thanks

Cotes should be medium wet with a good flash time between. A slower drying reducer can help with orange peel also. If the orange peel is sever you can wet sand the base cote with 1000 grit wet, clean up and resume spraying.
