SEM Color Coat in Burgandy..I couldn't have picked a closer match...
Attachment 15050 Attachment 15051 I found out on the first one it very easy to slide the seatbelt out of the loop by leaving the top screw in and carefully prying a gap open at the bottom while sliding the seatbelt out...this is how faded they are..the very worst looking thing inside the car.. |

Before: I scrubbed with soapy water...and inserted toothpick to keep the halfs from sticking together...sprayed and wiped off the prep and let them dry...
Attachment 15047 After: I sprayed it with the sand free then three light coats of color 5 minutes apart...the temp was 73 degrees so they dried fast.... Attachment 15048 Attachment 15049 Looks new to me..I also like how it leaved the grain detail alone..I will take two more pics later on when I put them back on the seats.. |

I cleaned up my cowl screen. It had a faded spot on the very front so I wanted to give that SEM color coat another try. I found the 15243 Satin black at my PPG paint store. I cleaned it with hot soapy water first then used their prep spray and sand free spray. Then three coats of the satin black.
Attachment 15040 Attachment 15041 I took this picture with my camera at night...there are two lighted up areas that are not representing the results. Look at the overall satin black color. Attachment 15042 |
