1970 340 Duster Help

Hey all, I just bought a 1970 Duster 340 and im looking for some headers to put on it once i get the motor rebuilt. Its just an empty block right now. But i have been looking at Hooker and Hedman headers.. which is better? Right now i am leaning towards the Hedman. Also the vynal roof if junk, is it posible to grind the rest of it off and just paint the roof? if not how can i get that redone? Thanks

Hookers first, then Hedman quality seemed to be better with the Hookers,and you can sand the glue and paint off the roof just weld in any of the trim/emblem holes your not using.

Neither headers are made-in-the-USA I believe. What is the price diff?

PAINTING the roof is a heckeva lot cheaper than REdoing the vinyl. Thay can be expensive.

well doc, what headers to you recommend that are american made? if you dont use those two, well for the ceramic coated headers there is only about a $40 difference.

The only ones that I am aware of are made in Mexico.
