Cylinder head Help

Just purchased 1967 dodge dart its a good runner and pulls very good, Has a 360 with casting number 2658920 heads. My question is this Aren't these 273 heads, Small valve closed chamber heads? Also would these heads be holding back the 360 because of this. Or is it possible to put bigger valves in these heads. I looked down the intake and its been gasket matched and the ports look very smooth from what i can see. Would i be better of finding 360 heads and having 2.02-1.60 valves installed.

These heads were used in 66 and 67 273's & 318's. They have a 1.78 intake and a 1.50 exhaust. Hope this helps.

I was wonderin if its possible to put bigger valves into this head. I would think a 273-318 head would not feed the 360 the fuel and air it needs.

they also will have smaller intake ports and runners than the 360 heads. the 360's had a clearly taller intake port as well as the bigger valves. these heads you have on will boost compression a little bit but their restrictiveness will make them suffer worse than they gain. i suppose if you were going to use 318 heads you should use the leanburn or fastburn heads that they started using in some of the 1985 cars like the fifth ave and dippy. but i would just go with a set of 360 heads imo.

I wouldn't spend money on these heads. Buy some cores, bigger valves etc. You can port/polish yourself for a few bucks in tooling. All depends what you'd like to do. Ask away man.
