Newbie with a Whats it worth?

I am probably buying a 1969 Dart gt convertible on Monday. 10 year old restoration that needs help. Paint is going, Year One covers are tearing. One dent passengers rear quarter. 8 year old top and boot with a 4 inch tear. All the roof parts are there and in good working order. Minor rust inside both rear wheel wells.

318 console auto. White with a black top. 127k original miles. Original am radio is still working. Runs ok

I was just curious what price range this car should be in. I am buying it Monday and I will post up what I paid for it and some photos. After that I will be bringing the old gal back to life!

Thanks for your input. Troy

I would have to say around 5,000.00 to 10,000.00 for the car if it is all repairable and to the right person , myself i would pay it just because i like them cars and being a rag top makes it even better but its going to be a few thou for you to rebuild her to near perfect just keep that in mind and let us know what you get it for ok

im gonna say lower figures around 4,500 to 7,500 [just to move it price] sounds like a sweet ride either way i just wished they continued the convertable for one more yr i think a 70 swinger 340 convert would have been awesome

Dart Vert

Well I went and looked at the 69 vert today. It was a 68 GT Vert. Absolutly hammered. Needed a s**t ton of body work. Drivers rear had a big hit. Pushed in Bumper, sheet metal in poor condition. Bondo, rust, and two paint jobs under the poor white job. Iterior needed alot too. Door panels and dash were good. Console all there but worn out. Engine was covered in 1/2 of sludge and he couldn't get it started. Bad grill, bad bumpers. pass headlight surround from incorrect year. Top and boot were both hammered. Seats torn, 1 back was missing, rear plastics broken. He also could not find the title. I offered him $4,500 cause I'm always up for a good challenge. He said, " I got it sold to some guy in Colorado for $5,500 plus he is shipping it". I thanked him for showing it to me and left.

Sad but thats how the day ended. Troy
