Options for getting some stereo tunes in my 68 Dart
Hi all,
I've seen a few websites selling "vintage appearance" radios for cars like old Mustangs and T-Birds.. vintage in appearance, but actual functional stereos with outputs to amps, cd-changer control, etc.. Would sure love to find something like this for my car. It has a broke and ugly Kraco from some earlier owner (idjit tore up the plastic bezel for this p.o.s.. grr) Any thoughts/suggestions? Wouldn't it be awesome to get a repro which had 4 channels and an iPod hook-up!!! |

Ive not seen what youre talking about, but im sure that they HAVE to exist.
for the demon, I am thinking about putting the radio face in the radio spot, but instead of radio controls, they will control accessories such as the fuel pump and fans. We will want a stereo in the car, but I am thinking about mounting it under the dash or in the glove box. |

Funny, we were just talking about this today. I've emailed a company in Redwood City, CA to see if they can convert one of the thumbwheel Dart radios. We'll see. Did you have any luck with yours? The price is kind of steep, but the cars are getting valuable.
