Valiant VIN decoding.... Please HELP!!

1 Attachment(s)
Hi there!
This is my first message. I am from Spain, and a Mopar enthusiastic!!
I need some information, I have looked a lot in the web, but it doesnt match.
I explain:
I consider buying a 1968 Plymouth Valiant Signet.
So, I want to decode the VIN.
For the car, it should be a 13 digit VIN, but mine has more digits. And no one is a letter.
VH21 21 5 23 215 005591
I can think the car was not manufactured in the US.
So, any help, please???
Thnaks a lot!!

Hi: I'm new to this forum myself. I just got a 1966 Plymouth Valiant 200 and found this site to decode vin #'s. Send a picture of your car sometime. Inkman

It wasn't until about the 1980's that VIN codes were extended so don't worry about being short some digits. They changed the length to allow for more VIN combinations, more information to be imparted and to prevent fraud. Modern VIN's have a check digit to catch fraudsters.

Your VIN is perfectly fine.

You might be able to look at the certi-card on the inside passenger wheel well under the hood if its still there. That will tell you info on the car also.
