.060 Piston Recommendations?

I'm looking for a set of .060 pistons for a roughly 550 hp stock stoke 440. Most of what I've seen available is .055 overbore. Does anyone have a suggestion? Are Probe srs pistons any good?

Slice, did you get the block bored out already? Did the machine shop sonic test the cylinder walls? Going .060 over is a lot and makes the cylinder walls pretty thin. There are special cements that can be used to partially full the water jackets, but is recommended for a race only engine.

Didn't bore it yet. Do you know what is acceptable and what part of the wall is in question?

the 440 can be bored out .60
but, it then is less acceptable to power

Slice, 67GTX is right. Bring the block to a machine shop first. Have them clean the block and check for cracks first. Have them check the cylinders to see how much they need to be taken off the bore, I would go for only what is necessary. If too much is taken off the walls they can actually flex, causing a loss of piston ring sealing and therefore power loss. See what the machine shop says.

Sounds like a bad place to start. Think I'll use another block. I have a 78 block running in the car now. I think is .030 over. I liked having the car up and running while I worked on the other motor, but I guess I'll pull it and start fresh. Thanks for the valued opinions.
