1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring

I'm wondering if somone here can help me out with a carb problem. I've recently pulled my old Satellite out of storage to turn it over to my son. When I parked the car it still ran great. I had some trouble with a dead spot on take off that usually went away as soon as the car started to warm up and after that it ran like a top.

When I brought it out of storage and started it up it ran terrible. It didn't want to idle, it was low on power and the dead spot was much worse and never went away. When I pulled the breather off the carb I found a spring laying on the manifold on the driver's side of the carb and I can't figure out where it belongs. I hooked it onto a linkage for the choke to pull it closed and it made a huge difference. The dead spot went away and the power is back but it still doesn't want to idle.

I'm having alot of trouble finding a good book or any kind of diagrams that will help me out. I'm wondering if someone else with the same car could take of couple of pics of their carburetor and linkages on both sides for me?

What I have is 318, automatic with a carter 2bbl carb.
