383 build
Hey guys. im new to mopar forums. im ready to rebuild my 70 model 383. its an original 2bbl motor. what pistons should i use to stay at 9:1 cr or a little above? and will this be a fairly strong street motor? here is what I have so far...
mopar dual plane intake come xe 274 cam and 911-16 springs 346 heads that have 3 angle valve job, bowl hog, and about .010 (1|16") cut off of them 1 7/8 headers 2.5" exhausts |
Unless you are going crazy in the HP dept stock replacement pistons should be fine. When you put it together make sure to test fit the intake ! .010 is not 1/16"

Thanks for the info! That is exactly what im looking for. i havent even thought about the intake fitting properly
