65 Belvedere build 'feeler' questions
Hey guys, I got a basically gutted out 65 belvedere that I am going to put back on the road as a pro street type of setup. I am looking into a rack and pinion front end setup with new k-member assembly, along with a 4 point rear.
I found exactly what I am looking for on Mopar Pro Shop site.
Has anyone here installed such suspension on theirs ? IS there any DIY type information available or a wirte up that I may be steered towards for this little venture?
Thanks, Russ

4-link
I put a Chris Alston Chassis Works Pro Link 4-link under my 64 Sport Fury. Never seen your possible setup. New Strange Dana 60 was installed at the same time. My buddy and I set it up in 18 hours. We made a deal not to stop until it was all installed correctly. Not too many hang ups. Check out their stuff before you go farther. Fell free to ask any questions !!

Thanks Moose,
I went thru your photo album on your build,,,, Looks nice! About the same thing I will soon undertake.
My 65 has cancer throughout the floor pan in various areas. I guess a new one will be in line. I have replaced a pan on a full frame car once, not sure what all this will entail on the Belvedere tho' given it is not a full frame ..I'll need to look into temp bracing / supports more in depth as the time gets nearer... Welding / fabrication is not an issue for me. As it stands now, my body will require rear Q panel lower patches and one front fender will need attention too. Other than that, the body is in decent shape. The car was never wrecked, just got a few rusted out places from being out in the elements so long.
And YES, that MPS 4 link is spendy. Summit has kits far cheaper too. But I do like the rack and pinion setup MPS has. It does not seem too far out of line price wise. I would imagine that a rack and pinion steering system would work great on the old car. I have checked to see if anyone has installed one on a 65-66, but not yet found one, still looking.
What is the tire size on the rear of yours? Was the rear wells tubbed/extended, if so, it looks factory.
thanks, Russ
