66 Charger 383 bore and stroke
 

Hello,

I believe the bore and stroke of a 383 is 4.25 x 3.375...??? If so, why doesn't the math work out to be 383 cu inches?

(4.25/2) x 3.14 (pi) x 2 x 8cylinders x 3.375 stroke = 360 cu inches???

Is there something I am missing?:confused:

Try 4.25 bore and 3.375 stroke
pi/4*4.25^2 x3.375 x 8 = 383

being out of school for 20 years hasnt helped me. you are correct. much appreciated
