71 GTX dash emblem

Hello
Looking for a 1971 GTX dash emblem. I can not seem to find these offered anywhere. Thanks for any info.

Were you ever able to find your Dash emblem? I'm looking for one as well, or trying to find someone willing to take a clay impression of theirs so I can make a resin casting of it.

Sorry Zach, that's actually a grille emblem, but I'm not sure what year it's for. The dash emblems are made of plastic, red and black.I've been watching e-bay for over a year now to find one. I can't find them anywhere, but I think I have a deal worked out to get an impression of one and cast one from resin.

one other place that would probably have one floating around is dvap.com they have thousands of cars

Got some clay molds from a dash emblem, and cast one last nite from fiberglass resin. I wanted to do it with Plastic resin like for models, but couldn't get any in a timely manner (I was too anxious, lol). Let it harden up, and popped it out. Cleaned off some of the flash, and it looks like this is going to work GOOD with a little TLC. Thanks for all your help folks.

looks a little too red. or maybe the original ones i've seen faded to a orange. i tried doing the same thing with my original one with some clay but it came out crappy. i think this is really one of the hardest parts to find for the GTX

It is ChallengeMe. And it's a little too shiny. Before I install it, I'll probably orange the red a little, and add some flattening agent to it. It should also just be a layer of color, and that's got a build up to it, so I need to dig out the air brush and some fine line masking tape. I doubt if I'm ever satisfied, but I think I can make it work ok.
