727 shift linkage adjustment!
 

Hey guys.

Is there a trick in adjusting the shift linkage on a 727 with a floor shifter. Everything seams to be working fine, just that the gears don't match up with whats shows on the shifter. IE: P is P R is 1/2 way between P and R, N is R, D is just before N etc!

This is on a 64 ...correct ?

The EZiest way is to crawl under the car ...with someone in the drivers seat and just fiddle with the thumb-wheel adjustment which is bolted to the trans case.

If it is not far-off .. it should not take you longer than 10 minutes or so(with a helper).
