73 charger question

73 charger question
I picked up a 73 charger but the title doesnt state the model. The dash says SE and I was just wondering if they're any way to for certain tell what model I have. It originally came with the 400 4bbl performance engine based off of the vin number. It doesnt have the opera windows, so is it just a higher sports package version of the standard charger?

"Charger" IS the model. SE is more of a trim / options / package code. Same is true of almost all Mopars, IE "Road Runner" is a form of a Satellite / Belvedere, as is GTX. The VIN does not come right out and decode to "something called a GTX."
I don't know much about "what makes" an SE, but a combo of the VIN and fender tag should allow you to figure it out. There surely are options on the car that are not available on other "lesser" trim Chargers, for example.

Basically a Trim package, the 73/73 Charger SE had the louvered "Opera" windows, and silver trim around the tail lights as well as an SE hood ornament and badge behind the Opera windows. Interior had the SE where you mentioned and possibly a "Brougham" script on the door card.
While all of these things could have been modified, there should be enough remaining to tip you off.
Posting a few pictures might help.
Here's mine, a 74 SE (modified)
