'77 Chrysler Cordoba seat removal?

I'm looking to remove the rear bench seat (just the bottom part) to see what sort of sub space there is under there. Don't worry for the safety of my Doba, just because I want to put a sub under the seat doesn't mean I'm going to molest the otherwise perfect, near all original car I guess at the same time I should ask what sort of space is under there. Anyways, thanks for looking.

I haven't done it on mine yet, but I hear you have to do it from under the car.

I'm considering doing it on mine to swap out a decent 40/60 split bench velvet interior for a good in the back rough in the front needing seat covers buckets and center console interior.

Hmm, I guess I'll crawl under there and have a look. I've read on other threads that you push down, and then back to undo some "hooks" but I'm not buying it after 20 minutes of struggling.

Push down and back is the way to get it off the hooks, only 20 minutes??? they can sometimes fight to the death before they give up the goods. Remember you are digging for buried treasure there and fortune comes at a price.

Ditto, push down then push back at the same time, then pull up. once
you get it off you'll see the hooks and see how it works. Push in and down
and release to reinstall.
The back part of the seat is ez to remove after that, two bolts and lift up.

Maybe you'll get lucky and find your build sheet under the seat?!

I'm a multple 1978-79 Magnum XE/GT owner and have done this a lot!

I'm pretty sure they should be on the Cordoba along with really any cars, but maybe someone knows, will the seat brakets be in the same position for cars with both buckets and split benchs?

That doesn't really help, but thanks. Could provide useful at one point. I was asking about the front seats.
