Finding factory production numbers?

I have an all original 72 dodge charger rallye with the se package.

It has the 340ci, rallye gauges, air grabber, tailight trim cover, slap-stick automatic, the louvers in the doors, vinyl top and concealed headlights.

I can never find the same car with all of these same features. Can anyone help me find the production numbers or have any information themselves.

The car has been repainted but same color/scheme. The exhaust was modified in 79. Other than that original matching numbers. I've ran the vin# and fender tags but need more info...

Please help...

No such car was ever made. The rallye and se are different body styles. What is the vin#

vin is "wh23h2a167373"

i haven't been able to find anyother but it has both packages??

and it is original. This is the vin decoding... and the fender tags match

Three body styles were offered; WL21 Coupe, WH23 Hardtop and the WP29 SE.Introduced in 72 the Rallye option package was available on both the Coupe and Hardtop. Rallye sales for 1972: WL21 - 460 (US), WH23 - 3,431 (US). The Rallye (A57) package consisted of a sport hood with performance paint treatment, argent grille paint treatment, special Rallye instrument cluster, louvered tail lights and doors, Rallye suspension with front sway bar, heavy duty rear sway bar, and F70/14 white sidewall fiberglass tires. There were no WP29 Rallye cars. What you have seems like a 72 Rallye that someone added SE parts to. Sorry

In 72 the SE was not a option package it was a different body style. Unlike the 70 when it was a option on the same body style.

You are right, my car is the rallye. I see now. But the car is original... I ran the fender tags and it shows the concealed headlamps.

I found info on a "Charger Topper package" that was a mid-year incentive that was a hard top with concealed headlamps and other stuff.

Could it be that the original buyer ordered a 1972 charger rallye with the concealed lights as an extra? or does it seem i would have the topper package????

Thank you for your help and info, "greg340"

Wait i just found that "U' on my fender tag means... "Build to specifications for U.S.A. order" i guess that answers my question? But how rare does that make the car?

What code does it show for the headlights????

I have a 72 Charger SE - VIN # WP29G2G with L37 code for Hideaway headlights. The paint looks to be "yellow" Y2. The Fender tags shows it came with "gold" Y4. It came with a 318 but now has a 340 Magnum. Anyone know if 72 SE's came with this type of hood?
