head gasket

I have a mopar bb casting number 4006530-400,head casting number 4006452.they both say they are from a 76-78 mopar,i have searched many sites for a head gasket.Everywhere I go they show a pic of a gasket that is missing two coolant holes and three coolant holes dont line up correctly.I have actually ordered a head gasket set hoping it was just a generic pic,but it wasnt, looks just like the pic.Has anyone else had this problem?

For a 76-78 block,try a steel shim .020 gasket from mancini:http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/mrstshhega.html

Has the block or heads been modified? Here's a pic a standard vel-pro head gasket #8519.If you can copy the pic and show what modifications would be needed. Can you post a pic of the bare block and under the head. johnName: gasket8519.jpg

Those two holes were for emissions concerns in the '70s,they heated up the area around the intake valves. So now after all these years,it is now desired to close off those passages. The earlier heads 906,346 didn't even have those passages. If you wanted to,you could always just cut them out,but I wouldn't.

just my .02 worth.
