Make sure engine mounts are tight, and in good shape first. Maybe even replace 'em with some "performance" ones from Summit or someone. THEN if it don' fit, get the torch, heat 'er up and dent away.

First thing I had to do to my Hedmans in my Dart is "void the warranty" by putting numerous dent's in'em. Hit the torsion bar on the pass. side, --dent. Hit the steering box --dent. Rubbed the outer housing on the steering column--dent. I was pissed. Hedman got a couple of emails from me they won't soon forget.

Ya know, Ma made a lot of Darts, and there's no reason why somebody can't make headers to fit ESPECIALLY as long as Hedman's been makin' em.

Afraid 440 is correct. You'll have to make them fit and yes a torch and hammer will be necessary. Just remember the old saying, measure twice and cut, err, bang once.

Regarding the mounts. Stock mounts will allow the engine to torque. You might want to consider neoprene mounts from a company like Schummaker. They will transfer engine vibration, but the engine won't move.
