how much would you expect to pay for this?

he said its a roadrunner clone, its a 1973, column auto with a B&M floor kit. not sure what kind of motor is original, but it has no engine in it right now. i don't want the engine parts he has to go with it, or the transmission, just the body. it looks pretty clean, but is DEFINATELY going to need paint. heres some pics

In my opinion I would offer $3k MAXX. If I was really wanting the car I would point out "EVERYTHING" that is wrong or needs work and really get a low low price if possible.

The body is clean, but it is a CLONE, has no engine, transmission status?, interior needs work, etc.

It will take a fair amount of money to clean the car up (not showroom condition) as well as to get it running. And again it's a clone. For several thousand dollars more you could search hard and potentially find a "True" Roadrunner in better condition.

Just my $0.02.

I'm right there too, 2k-2500 tops. It's just a Satellite, not a big market for them, the plus will be if the quarters are clean, I don't think anyone is re-popping them yet. The car needs a drivetrain and the seats are shot, if your gonna pull the trigger, try to keep it as cost effective as possible, remember that in the end it will still be a Satellite.

yea he said he was asking 4, but that is with all the internals to a 383 and the transmission. i was thinking it might be a satellite sebring with a 400, because it has the access panels in the inner fenders for a big block. but still, driving and mechanically sound, i checked hagerty and it's worth like 6 as a daily driver, so 4k is definately outta the ballpark. i am thinking max like 1200, and thats minus the engine parts and trans. if i can't get it at that, i'll keep saving up for my superbee

Seems not too much is moving right now. I have a 68 Satellite that I built into the specs for a GTX, 440 with 440 source heads, .030 over 10.5-1, Lunati cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, forged crank, all new inside. New aluminum radiator and aluminum water pump. Has NEVER gone above 210 degrees, even cruising thru town on the hottest day and the AC blowing (yea the AC works, so good it will chill the shifter handle so much it will hurt your hand from the cold lol ). 727 totally rebuilt. As far as the car itself goes, almost EVERYTHING new, including all suspension parts like springs, torsion bars, front and rear sway bars, and most are specs that improve on the standard GTX Specs. Had one rust hole in the body, about the size of a silver dollar, and has only been painted once in it's life, never wrecked. Ride and drive are so smooth, strong and well handling that it far exceeds any of the "real" GTX's I've had in my life, including one I bought in 74 that had less than 3000 miles on it. Maybe I was concentrating on making sure everyone knew the bad parts of the car that I didn't really let anyone know just how nice the car really is. I was asking $17K, make an offer, and got very few responses, almost all of them were for some sort of trade. Even giving a firm bottom dollar price of $12,500 and drive it anywhere you want with no worries, I can't find a buyer. I'm blaming it on the economy and hope there's not something that everyone in the world sees except me, and that's keeping interest down.

Maybe with that in mind, you could show the seller what is with this car, and compare it to what he's offering as an example of what you could get, let him know that it seems market price is down or else money just isn't available. Might just get you a better deal
