Is it safe for me to be running nitrous?

Ive got a 1970 charger with mild 383 that i rebuilt about a year ago and it only has about 6000 miles on it....it's a daily driver. my local race track lets people bring their cars out on weds nights and I wanna run somewhere in the 13s...is this possible?...it's a mild 383 with a mild cam stock rods and crank with flat top pistons. Edelbrock rpm intake street demon 750 carb. It has headers and a flow master system. It has a holly mechanical fuel pump and a stocking oil pump. I've got a torqueflite 727 with a reverse manual valve body and 3.70 gears in the back. the car is lighter than stock due to some modifications... so what do u guys think ill be running? And is it safe to use nitrous? Thanks! Oh and the tires are 28x10 bfgoodrich radials with a 4-link suspension setup

And I was thinking only a 125 shot or less

Have you run the car yet down the track? If not, I suggest doing that first before spending the money on a nitrous kit. Who knows, you may not need it to hit your target.

Post up some pics of the charger too (we love pics).

Definitely run the car first.

I'm thinking more like 14s but if its tuned dead on, you hit the shift points in the power band just right, the tires hook up, etc. then 13s are possible. Other than the drivetrain built up, did you decrease the weight of the vehicle or do anything to the suspension to help it hook up?

It's got aluminum wheel tubs (long story not gonna go into that) so the trunk floor is also aluminum with an aluminum fuel cell. There is no back seat because of the tubs and I've got a four link suspension setup with coil overs

"Is it safe for me to be running nitrous?" if you have tons of money. AND get two VERY BIG fire extinguishers.
