Thumbs up 1965 plymouth fury lll Resto Advice NEEDED!!!

My project is coming along.318 fury lll 3 spd. brought back from the DEAD.... I need headers and wheels and tires. Need a old used set of cragers or mags of some sort. Any ideas of what size rims I could go with? I like the 14" look.. I know they're a 4.5 bolt pattern, But not sure about the backspacing thing. This car came with junk yard rollers not original to the car...so I cant count on any measurement from them... Also not sure about headers .... the proper ones for clearence issues... So far I got it to run using a gas can in the engine bay (engine sounds great!!) put all new brakes wheel cyls lines and MC. Ordered and waiting for the correct tie rod sleeve for drivers side. Clutch and gears feel good. Need to see how I can convert to a 3 spd floor shift... If I get this far..I may as well throw a tank and regulator and new fuel line to finish it off..,. You guys are the experts...so any advice is always appreciated!!! thanks!! Mayor Deetles...

as far as headers go the only thing i can tell you is look into headers for b body's. 65' 66' 67's if my car was here i could tell you about the back spacing. but its 65 miles away... i do know the 15" mags off of my 78 diplomat fit my 66 fury perfect! if thats any help?

Hey,
I'm new here too. On your question about the headers. Look into TTI they make headers designed for the C Bodies. Good luck in your search and restoration.

You probably aren't going to find headers for it because if it has an original wide block 318 nobody made an application for it due to lack of interest. '67 and up LA 318's are very different than the earlier version. The heads and exhaust ports are not similar. The old 318's had separate exhaust ports for each cylinder whereas the newer ones had the center cylinders share a port.
