1967 Chrysler 300 fair value

I have a 1967 Chrysler 300 4dr hdtp I am trying to sell and could use some advise on fair value and best way to sell. The old car price guide shows $8,000 as a #3 and $18,000 as a #1. Mine is 95% original survivor. The headliner has been replaced and everything else in the interior is original and in good shape. One front fender has been repainted or replaced with OEM and the rest of the body and paint is original. There is no rust anywhere. The original spare tire and tools are in the trunk. It has the original window sticker, warranty card and dealer receipts. The original rubber seals are still soft. All original drive train in great shape. Everything works including the original radio. Mileage is 95,000.
My problem is that I am a long way from anything (in North Idaho). The nearest city of any size is Spokane Wa and about 1 1/2 hours away. My 300 received a first place trophy in the survivor class at the Mopar show there last year. Any advice would be appreciated. |
can we see some pics of the engine?
that'll help figure out a price |

Sure, thanks again.

is that a 383 or 440?

440, 727 auto, dual exhaust

It looks to be in really good shape.

Well if you have a ball park range that has been established and the car looks awesome from here, I would list it at the higher end of the scale. Why not ?
|
Thanks, but I've had it on Clist for weeks at $7,000 without one response. Don't know if I need to take it to a city consignment lot or auction or ??? because I'm so remote or are things just that bad with the state of the economy?

Location does play a huge factor as to what you can get for $$$ when it comes to anything. I would post it up on E-bay and if that doesn't work then consignment or something.

I would (and have done so) post on car soup and/or auto trader. These sites may cost a few bucks to post but I have always sold (and bought) from car soup.

You may also want to try to post your original post on these C Body specific sites:
www.cbodydrydock.com www.moparfins.com www.cbodyhomeport.yuku.com You'll probably find some takers there. I think $7K is a fair price for your car. Although it is a very nice survivor, it is not all that desireable being a 4 door. By comparison, if you had a '67 300 'vert survivor in that condition you could probably get $15-$18K for it. Why not hold on to it? |
7k seems fair
