1969 Plymouth Fury 3- - -HELP!!!

Alright. I've been checking around for quite a while and have been having problems finding help for my car. When my dad gave it to me it needed a lot of work. Well then I joined the Navy and now it needs even more. I want to get started working on it but I'm having problems getting the information I need.

My car. . .
1969 Plymouth Fury III 4-door hardtop
Now I know these came with at least 2 different engine options. Mine is probably a base model. It has a high-compression 318, which I am having a hard time finding parts for, and I have seen a 383 version, which I think is the luxory version, cause its got electric windows and seats and things like that. Now I want to keep this engine if possible, but I want to get as much power out of it as I can. I am already planning on getting a dual exhaust and a 4 barrel carb for it but I would like suggestions on what else I should put in it. And seeing as how I plan on stripping the engine all the way down to the block, its possible that I will be replacing everything except the block. Does anyone know where I might be able to go to find parts. I plan on getting it shipped from Idaho down here to San Diego close to the end of the year and I would also like to find a good place to get body and interior work done. Any suggestions on that would be more than welcome. Well I was told that I would be able to find help on here if any where. Peace and God bless!

i would just check on jegs and summit
there generally was only one 318 offered unless you count the california emissions choked cars
you could get a 383 or 440 in a fury I II III or VIP

318 parts should be very common and most performance parts are shared from all LA series small blocks

318s are not known for performance but car craft magazine did do a 400HP tech article

Hi my name is Lee Neithercutt. I own and operate a small Hot Rod shop in Cottonwood CA called Cutt Classics. We specialize in all Dodge Chrysler and Plymouth. As far as performance parts go we use 440sorce.com and Manciniracing.com. you can also subscribe to classic Industries which is a really good mail order catalog. If you need a parts car or if you would maybe want to build a nice two door. I have a pretty nice complete 1968 plymouth fury two door vip lll fast top with a nice 440 and 727 torqueflite for $4000. Also if there is anything specificyou need let me know. We have a big mopar community in cottonwood and the surrounding areas. So can usually find those hard-to-find items.
