65 New Yorker fuel pump issues
Newbie here. I think I've got a fuel pump issue with my New Yorker. I don't seem to be getting fuel from the fuel pump up to the carb. The lines are clear, filter has been replaced, new fuel pump etc. It seems as if the "pushrod" isn't priming the fuel pump. Is there any way to fix this? I can't really tell if the pushrod is moving or not and there's no tool to get in that tight space (that I've found). Help??!! Thanks.

It’s not uncommon for the push rod to be worn to the point it doesn’t give enough lift to the fuel pump, another possibility is that the Lobe on the cam is worn to the point that I can needs to be replaced. You must remember that your working with 57 year old parts, have you been running an oil with zink in it?
It might be time for an electric fuel pump… |
