66 Fury II - Fix, part out or sell
I have a 66 Fury II that my buddy gave me a year ago. It has no title and it somewhat runs. I started to work on it to fix her up and just lost interest. I wonder what I should do. Part it out? Sell it without a title? Or fix it up and drive her.
The engine is a 318, rebuilt 20 years ago by my friend and has about 15K miles. The interior is very clean - no seat rips. The body has newer rust from sitting for 15 years, but had all the bodywork done and was primed way back then. It has all exterior trim in the trunk and 14" Craiger SS rims on it.
I am torn what to do. I think I could sell it for $500 as it is without title or maybe $3000 with a cheap paint job on her fixed up with a title.
Anybody want to buy this off me or give me advice on what to do??

With it not having the title, I have to go through alot in NC to get one. Indemnity bond, inspections, must get it road worthy and I just do not see me wanting to do all that. Well, I am 50/50. I will post some pictures this evening.

So there are the pictures. The thing is fairly tight. My friend did all the bodywork with self expanding foam and sheet metal. The Rims were a year old when parked (15 years ago) and have been sprayed with WD40 once per year to keep the rust at bay. I have all the trim and it is in very good shape. Interior just needs a headliner and carpet.
Problems: Holly carb leaks from all gaskets and 0 rings due to long term sitting. The engine did too when we first started it, but seems to have stopped once we got the engine warmed up. Not sure about the trans - it moves, but under great force. But the back brakes are seized and I cannot get fluid to bleed out. There is a clog someplace along the way to the back. The front's bleed fine.
I wonder if I should:
(a) get her road worthy and sell and go through the whole title process (about $300 in state fees)
(b) add a paint job and sell
(c) part it out
(d) sell as-is without title
Thank you for helping me.

I don't see a location but I think I know that car... are you near Momence IL? there was one like that I saw reference to on another forum that was nailed in the RR qtr beyond repair; this looks like a great donor body for that stuff off that car (the wreck had been listed on CL IIRC it was Minneapolis area)

In am near Raleigh, NC. What do you think? I have not decided to part it out yet and actually am leaning towards fixing her up. But if somebody just came and gave me some , they could pull it away.

It's a shame I'm over in England. If that car was over here, it'd be a no-brainer to buy it from you and fix it up.
Good looking car, nice shape good place to start (even if it does have a door collection). Over on your side of the Atlantic, these cars must be getting a bit thinner on the ground now.
Whatever, surely it would be a better bet to keep the car whole and possibly see the old bus return to the roads -even if it's not with yourself....???

Let me know if you decide to part her out.
With it being a 4 door I think you will make a lot more for Parts.

BTW, this is a Fury III - not a II. Nobody wants to offer me some $$$ to just pull this thing out of my garage? If not, I guess I will dig in and fix it, get the title, etc... Then sell.
