69 Chrysler Newport Convertible Pre Restoration Price
Hello all, I have a 69 Chrysler Newport convertible that I have not started restoring yet. It is sitting in the shed collecting dust since I have not had money to start the restoration. It has the original motor and transmission. It has the 440 and does not have AC. The car runs and drives. It is missing the driver and passenger side windows. The body is in great shape with very little rust. The rear subframe needs repair. There is a hole in the convertible top and it has the original glass window in the top. I am trying to decide if I should hold onto it (it does have sentimental value) or if I should let it go so someone can give it some new life. I was wondering what a car in this condition would sell for. Let me know what additional information you would need and what pictures you would want. I will post general photos tomorrow. Also in case I do decide to keep it would anybody know where I could find those windows, or would I have to get them custom made?

I think that one would just have to go on OfferUp and see what hits. I dont see you getting to much out of it as it sits. Its going to take the rite person who wants to do the project. Just my 2 cents

I appreciate it. I will likely hold onto her then. I was thinking she was worth $2000 assuming I found the right buyer. Would that be reasonable or am I just delusional?

To get a value, find the same year/make/model that is restored and for sale or recently sold. Compare that to what you would have to invest to get it to the same condition. I think you will find that you have added a lot of sentimental value to that $2000. If you are going to hold on to it, remember it doesn't get any cheaper to restore as years pass by.

That price might not be to far out for someone that has the vision... Might start at 3,000 and see if sells... If not put it back together and see if it sells...
Remember this is only my opinion and I am only one person out of many. You mite hit the rite guy for 10K, you never know... Good Luck on your decision... |
