axle tube paint marking
 

im convinced it's an original marking, but so far have been unable ti decipher
its on an 8 3/4 rear, with 1 3/4 pinion sizing...
there are 2 fat yellow stripes painted on side of
pinion housing - opposite of cast numbers
& the same paint has been used to stencil "295" on the outside of axle tube.
Any knowledge about this floating around ?

the 2 stripes were made by assembly line inspector
& the "295" are the last 3 digits of the part number for the axle housing assembly.
